Manager Corporate Supply Chain Management Sourcing

Position
Summary:
Provides managerial oversight of the Supply Chain Management team responsible for the sourcing of products and purchased services throughout MHC.
Responsible for identifying cost savings opportunities and proactively implements initiatives to aid in the acquisition and movement of supplies and purchased services.
Facilitates the purchase of equipment supplies used in capital and construction projects.
Contributes to contract storage database so savings can be realized across transactions.
Identifies supply chain improvement opportunities in response to organizational demands and works with corporate and subsidiary staff to facilitate implementation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities As Assigned:
1.
Works cooperatively with MHC directors and executives in developing and implementing cost saving initiatives including the justification, purchase, and control of expenditures of supplies and services.
2.
Administers and adheres to policies and budgets necessary to achieve approved departmental and corporate goals.
3.
Promotes participation in programs and contracts designed to reduce the cost of supplies and purchased services.
Supports and participates in GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) contracts as directed.
4.
Works directly with Manager of System Operations and team to align contracts within the chosen contracting database.
Ensures all members of Sourcing team understand value of contracting tools and identifies opportunities for improvement.
5.
Champions Sourcing standards of MHC Supply Chain Management including:
Evaluation, qualification, and selection of vendors; the cost analysis, request for quote (RFQ), request for purchase (RFP), negotiation of supplies and services agreements; the evaluation of vendor performance, invoice discrepancy resolution.
6.
Responsible for the management, hiring, training, evaluation and necessary discipline and discharge of employees for Corporate SCM Sourcing team.
7.
Reviews Corporate and Subsidiary cost analyses, inventory reports, and related statistical data to remain current with the operational and financial status of supplies and equipment.
Has in-depth understanding of tracking savings and rebates.
8.
Arranges and participates in meetings between vendors and/or MHC subsidiary personnel to provide guidance on material/product selection based off of McLaren standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field.
o Three years experience in a leadership role in Supply Chain Management with demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience.
o Three years healthcare-based experience, including purchasing and Supply Chain Management background.
Preferred:
MBA or MHA APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Recommended Skills Construction Cost Reduction Databases Finance Financial Management Health Administration Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
