com We are looking for QA Manager with strong quality experience in the automotive or the packaging industry.
This is an opportunity to join and lead a strong team onsite at the Grand Blanc, Michigan location.
Responsibilities:
Establishes vision for QMS, develops plan and implements actions to achieve vision.
Customer and Production Quality.
Internal auditor / IATF Champion/ EMS Champion leading ISO14001 and IATF 16949 programs to ensure compliance of internal audits and surveillance audits according to schedules.
Key measures of Performance are customer scorecards and number of customer concerns.
Cost of quality & scrap.
Performance in registrar and customer audits.
Successful completion of goals and objectives.
Ensures compliance to and continuously improves the QMS process.
Interfaces with the customer regarding quality concerns, utilizes appropriate problem-solving tools and submits corrective actions.
Builds strong customer relationships to mitigate quality issues.
Assigns and tracks internal / external CA's as necessary to achieve desired quality performance.
Leads IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and customer specific audits.
Works with suppliers to validate capability and improve performance.
Contact person for Product Safety Requirements:
Knowledge of quality theory, practices, core tools and their application.
Track record of success with IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and customer audits.
Deep knowledge of these topics.
Experience with PPAP, APQP, SPC and quality inspection.
Strong problem solving skills and broad knowledge of related tools.
High level computer, organizational and communication skills Ability to multitask projects without affecting accuracy.
Ability to make decisions independently.
Desire to succeed in a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Ability to lead the Quality Team to top performance.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum 4 year degree or ASQC Certified Quality Engineer.
5 years quality experience in an automotive environment.
4 years auditing experience and/or Certified IATF16949 Internal Auditor.
