Reservation and Logistics Coordinator - Group Tours The Reservation and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for facilitating all logistics on the trip itinerary along with initiating, maintaining, and developing vendor relationships.
A Reservations and Logistics Coordinator helps create and shape the educational travel experience.
Key Responsibilities Create, Edit, Plan and Book, all activities, dining/meal reservations within trip.
Itinerary Timing Relationship building:
Maintain strong working relationships with current vendors and build new relationships with potential new vendors.
Meet all reservation timelines efficiently.
Enter all trip details into operating system (custom software program) Maintain and grow profitability/margins.
Accurately and thoroughly communicates, documents and disperses information from vendor to operating system.
Effectively communicate with co-workers and vendors in a timely manner Create a close working relationship with customer service, operations, and other functional areas to ensure successful trips and satisfied customers.
Ensure revisions to itinerary and trip budget are made as required.
Attend various conferences/trade shows as needed (May require out of town overnight travel) Represent the company in a positive, ethical, and professional manner.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes Goal-focused, self-sufficient individual who takes initiative to anticipate needs in being proactive rather than reacting.
Attainment of a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 2-5 years general office experience Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship building skills.
Strong mathematical skills a must Exceptional work ethic, willingness to work additional hours during seasonal peaks as well as occasional weekends and evenings.
