Job Description
Title Substitute Paraprofessionals

Reports to Building Principal and Supervising Teacher
Rate of pay $8.15 per hour
Job summary
Substitute Paraprofessionals are on call, as needed basis. Most of time you will be called the morning of the assignment as the employee calls in to report the absence and needs substitute coverage.
Summary of essential job functions
Comfortable with special needs students, capable of one-on-one assignment with special needs student, Physical stamina to assist motor/physical/emotional needs of student,
Tolerance for difference in student's learning styles

Flexibility in work assignment(s)
Demonstrated ability in interpersonal skills
Ability to accept direction from certified staff and administration
Respectful and compliant with confidentiality
Requirements
Must be fingerprinted at the GISD or have current Live Scan fingerprints on file with the GISD and follow current fingerprinting procedure for Grand Blanc Schools.
Must have a High School diploma. We would prefer Work Keys however not necessary for substitute paraprofessional position. The Work Key or an Associate Degree is required for a permanent position.
To accept assignments at the following schools you Must be available to work the following hours at those buildings
High School 7:05 a.m. to 2:26 p.m.
Middle School 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Perry Center/ City Schools 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Perry Center- GSRP program 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Elementary- Anderson, McGrath, Brendel, Cook, Mason, Indian Hill, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Myers, and Reid Elementary Schools 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
