Summary:
Provides basic patient care to home health patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other authority.
Responsibilities:
Provides documentation that follows the established plan of
Works with patients, caregivers and interdisciplinary team
Participates in case conferences and mandatory in-services
Complexity of Work
Personal Protective Equipment
Performs patient care procedures within scope of practice as supervised by the patient's Registered Nurse (RN) or other authority.
Assists patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff or other authority.
Assists with keeping the patient's environment clean, safe and orderly.
Education &
Experience:
HS or Equivalent
75 hours of training as a Home Health Aide required.
One (1) year previous experience preferred. High school or equivalent required.
Licenses & Certifications:
Valid automobile insurance with liability limits of at least $100,000/$300,000 required.
BLS Healthcare Provider License Required, Basic life support required.
Certified Nurse Assistant Preferred
Valid driver's license required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
